At AWAAM INDIA FOUNDATION – Association For Welfare And Awareness of Minorities, we value the trust of our donors and supporters. This Return & Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may or may not be issued for donations made through our website awaamindia.org, including payments processed via Razorpay.
1. Donations Are Non-Refundable
All donations made to AWAAM are voluntary and non-refundable. Once a donation is successfully processed, it cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded. This includes donations made through Razorpay or any other payment gateway.
This policy aligns with the standard guidelines for charitable and non-profit organizations.
2. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments
In the event of:
- A duplicate payment,
- An accidental overpayment, or
- A technical error that results in incorrect charges,
AWAAM may review the case and, if valid, initiate a refund for the extra amount paid.
To request such a review, the donor must notify us within 3 business days of the transaction and provide:
- Full name
- Transaction ID
- Date and time of donation
- Screenshot or proof of payment
Refunds for valid cases will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of donation, following Razorpay’s settlement timelines.
3. Failed or Pending Transactions
If a transaction fails but the amount is deducted from your bank account:
- The amount is usually reversed automatically by your bank within 5–7 working days.
- If the amount is not refunded within this period, you may contact us, and we will coordinate with Razorpay to assist in tracking the payment status.
AWAAM does not have the authority to fast-track bank-level reversals.
4. Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe your card or bank account was used without your authorization:
- Immediately contact your bank or payment provider.
- Notify us with relevant transaction details so we can verify the payment with Razorpay.
AWAAM will cooperate with Razorpay and banking partners for fraud investigation. Refunds for unauthorized transactions depend on bank and gateway verdicts.
5. No Refund for Donor Intent Issues
Refunds cannot be issued for reasons such as:
- Change of mind
- Donor no longer wishes to support
- Donation made to the wrong campaign (unless duplicate)
- Incorrect donation amount entered by the donor
Since donations are considered final contributions toward welfare activities, we cannot reverse them.
6. Processing Time for Approved Refunds
If a refund is approved by AWAAM:
- It will be initiated within 7–10 business days
- Refund will be credited back as per Razorpay’s and the issuing bank’s timelines
- A confirmation email will be shared with the donor once the refund is processed
